I'm crossing my fingers...

...and hoping that this post will actually make it into my journal.  Twice in the last week I've written posts and then lost them.  One time I know it was me, but the other time I have no idea why it didn't post.  But both times, I was so tired that I just couldn't re-write the post.  I hate it when stuff like that happens.

The latest good news is that I still have a job.   The latest running joke in my family is that I finally figured out a way to get the hospital to pay me without having to actually work. We've been so slow lately--our unit was actually at 0 patients for the better part of a week and at 1 or 2 the week before that--that people were getting called off like crazy.  I worked 2 shifts between December 12 and Jan 7.  I've got enough vacation hours socked away that every time they called and offered me the day off, I jumped on it.  I guess no one wanted to schedule any surgeries over the holidays, which makes sense, but usually we have some heart babies born or an emergency or two (not that we want those things to happen).

I'm excited that I get to go scrapbooking this weekend--just Saturday 9a-6p, but it will be fun.  It's a fundraiser for the Tri-State Mothers of Multiples group, and that's a really fun group.  How many places can you go to scrapbook and be in the minority because you had your kids one at a time?
