Hello from Florida!

Well, my life is starting to slow down to it's usual level, after 6 weeks or being busier than usual.

My brother's wedding the first of December was absolutely lovely.  The church was all decorated for Christmas, which made it extra special. It was a black and white wedding, so the bridesmaids wore black and carried white fur muffs with a black ribbon on them. Rhonda was a beautiful bride, and both she and my brother were teary at different points during the ceremony.  We had a wonderful time at the reception, it was lots of fun, and Jon and I even danced together.  That might not sound like much, but the last time we danced together was at our own wedding in 1989.  He's not much of a dancer, as you've probably guessed.

Breakfast with Santa is over for another year, too.  I think we probably made just about the same $$ as last year, which is good, considering that the community parade was the same weekend. The parade is usually the first weekend in December, and we plan the Breakfast for the second weekend, since they close off some of the roads for the parade.   The seatings were very lopsided because of the parade.  They're usually pretty even, but this year we had 200 reservations for the first seating, plus a bunch of walk-ins, and 50 reservations for the second seating, along with a few walk-ins.  But, it's over for another year, and this coming year is a leap year, so we'll have an extra day to plan!

We are now in sunny Florida, which is great, because they've got 4-6 inches of snow and ice at home!  We are staying with my SIL and her sig other, who is a real sweetie.  It's in the upper 70's, and we are loving it.  We just got here Friday, and planned to pretty much just relax over the weekend, and hit a couple parks during the week when the crowds are less.  We're planning Epcot and Universal Studios Islands of Adventure for sure.  The kids are lobbying for Seaworld, and have this intense desire to see an alligator, so they are lobbying for Gatorland, too.  Cuco (my SIL sig other, his real name is Hector but everyone calls him Cuco) took the kids over to his dad's house to try to see the gator in the lake, but they couldn't find him.  The kids had a great time with Cuco's family, although they were surprised by all the kissing--his family is Puerto Rican and they were kissing everyone hello and good-bye.  We might take in Circe de Soliel, too.  Claudia (my SIL) fell the morning we were coming and broke her arm, so the kids and I have been helping her out as much as possible. It's sad that she won't be able to do the rides with us--oh, well, guess we'll just have to plan to come again.
